The company revealed that Call of Duty: WWII will be getting an official unveiling this Wednesday, April 26, at 10 AM PDT, with our first look at gameplay and a little bit more from the forthcoming project at Sledgehammer Games (the team that brought us the enjoyable Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare). And of course, there will be a "Private Beta" for those who pre-order.

Furthermore, some details on what to expect in terms of single-player and multiplayer modes have also been made public.

"Call of Duty: WWII's co-operative mode unleashes a new and original story". However, last month, an alleged poster for the upcoming game was leaked to The Family Video Gamers YouTube channel, according to a report by Eurogamer. After that, four more games shadowed covering the same time period, ending in 2008's "Call of Duty: World at War".

With the campaign, the ad says that it will be based on "the story of an unbreakable brother of common men fighting to preserve freedom in a world on the brink of tyranny".

"The campaign features bold, lifelike visuals with the kind of blockbuster cinematic authenticity that only Call of Duty can deliver".

In a February earnings release, Activision claimed this year's CoD would "take Call of Duty back to its roots".

Firstly, it appears as though the release date for Call of Duty: WW2 will be November 3, 2017.

After being announced in the first week of March, players of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" can now buy the Variety Map Pack for $14.99. Players will be able to play with friends in the next level standalone game.

Likewise, it's worth noting that Activision has already thrown their hat in with the Nintendo Switch with the more recent port of Skylanders Imaginators to the new handheld console.

No doubt there will be plenty more details about Call of Duty WW2 as we edge towards the game's full reveal next week, so stay tuned for more details as they come in.
