Could Bulls get involved with potential Celtics-76ers trade?

Tuesday, 20 Jun, 2017

After agreeing to trade the No. 1 overall pick to the 76ers for the No. 3 pick and a future first-rounder with protections, the question now is what Danny Ainge will do with that third overall pick. If Cleveland were to trade for Butler it would be a more complicated deal, involving multiple teams, according to Stein.

It didn't take too long after The Finals ended for some National Basketball Association trade rumors to send social media into a frenzy with the reports of a potential deal with the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers that would revolve around the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

A report from Chicago Tribune noted that "as of Sunday, the talk (Jimmy Butler trade buzz) is based more on speculation than reality".

Smith reports the Celtics plan to use the Sixers' No. 3 overall pick in order to acquire Butler.

Trump interviewed Mueller for FBI job day before he was tapped f
Ruddy told ABC News that he stands by his comments that the president is considering asking Rosenstein to terminate Mueller. The official demanded anonymity because the official was not authorized to be named discussing the deliberations.

According to Clutch Points, the Celtics are set on acquiring Jimmy Butler from the Bulls with the number three pick they acquired today.

"Jimmy Butler, as a piece, is not a bad idea".

Butler has a Player Option worth US$19.8 million (AU$25.9 million) for the 2019-20 season. The Celtics have enough to put a competitive team on the floor as is without having to add a player of Butler's caliber.

In 76 games this past National Basketball Association season, Butler average 23.9 points per game, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.5 assists a game. If Butler were to remain in Chicago, the Celtics are expected to draft either Kansas wing Josh Jackson or Duke forward Jayson Tatum with the No. 3 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
