Majority of Americans support attack on North Korea if it strikes South

Late last month, North Korea proved its missile capabilities have reached a point where US cities are within "target range".

"We don't know that they're going to work. but it's something we needed to do", Haley said on NBC's "Today" show on Tuesday.

NORTH Korea has successfully produced a miniaturised nuclear warhead that can fit inside its missiles, United States officials reportedly said.

US President Donald Trump has yet again called for tough and decisive action over the "dangers posed by North Korea", while praising the solidarity over the crisis. By one count, for example, there have been 15 other resolutions condemning North Korea since it abrogated the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty back in 1993, and the Security Council passed another resolution sanctioning North Korea as recently as March.

"If they don't, we will wake up one morning and discover North Korea has tested a hydrogen bomb or a three-stage ICBM - and that could hit ALL of the USA homeland".

Haley praised both Russian Federation and China for the UN Security Council vote on North Korean sanctions.

They added that the assailants then changed their minds and started shooting at the remaining 100 people in the church. According to him, many people were injured in the attack while some of the victims died on their way to the hospital.

However, the survey found that a preemptive attack against North Korea's nuclear program does not have wide support.

Speaking at the ASEAN Regional Forum on Monday, North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho blamed the USA for the current situation on the Korean Peninsula and said Pyongyang's "possession of nuclear weapons and intercontinental ballistic missiles is a legitimate option for self-defense in the face of a clear and real nuclear threat posed by the United States", according to a statement. Cooperation from China and Russian Federation will be critical if the sanctions-which ban exports of coal, iron, iron ore, lead ore, and seafood from the Asian country, and cap the number of North Korean workers abroad-are to be successful.

Kazianis said China must enforce the sanctions and strip North Korea of vital resources used for its militarization. It's frighteningly relevant now, as Trump levels threats against North Korea.

The frightening claims were made in the Washington Post, citing a confidential assessment by the US Defense Intelligence Agency.

The warning comes after the North threatened to retaliate and take "physical" action against the US over the United Nations' adoption of new sanctions on Saturday.
