McDonald's bringing back Szechuan Sauce for one day

Saturday, 07 Oct, 2017

McDonald's Szechuan sauce is coming back to Chicago for the first time in almost 20 years - and fans have the popular Cartoon Network show "Rick and Morty" to thank.

The sauce was originally sold as a cross-promotion with the 1998 Disney film "Mulan", and became a recurring joke in the cartoon series. On Saturday, October 7, participating McDonald's locations will be giving out Szechuan sauce in collaboration with the launch of its buttermilk crispy tenders. I can't wait for fans to taste the savory, sweet flavor of Szechuan Sauce paired with our new Buttermilk Crispy Tenders.

"Guys, we did it".

It didn't take nine more seasons - McDonald's Szechuan dipping sauce is coming back. And, Szechuan Sauce and each of the traditional McDonalds sauces will receive special screen printed posters dedicated to each particular sauce. Fans took to Twitter, Facebook, and other social networking sites to demand that McDonald's reintroduce Szechuan Sauce to their menu.

In July, McDonald's sent a jug of Szechuan sauce to the show's co-creator Justin Roiland after finding it in "a dimension where it's always 1998".

Ivetta Saldana, who was attending the festival, told The Las Vegas Review-Journal she hid in a sewer after the shooting began. Paddock's violent transformation has mystified everyone - his brother, investigators and the families he victimized.

Fans have fallen back in love with the sauce after it was name-dropped in an episode of "Rick & Morty".

"Look at that art, look at the font", Harmon said to the Vox outlet about the Sezchuan promotional poster.

In fact, according to the fast-food chain, 200 locations nationwide will have the sauce.

However, this same magic is not the result of the sauce's pairing with your standard Chicken McNuggets, and I say this as someone who would beg for a few more McNuggets while sitting in the electric chair. "Look I'm not being sarcastic when I talk about this".

In its announcement, McDonald's doesn't quite cop to responding to "Rick and Morty" fan pressure by re-releasing the sauce. Interested readers can check out McDonald's official website to see which locations will consist of this item.
