They're solid points, but it nearly sounds like he's arguing from an either/or perspective, when in reality adding wireless charging support to the OnePlus 5T wouldn't remove Dash Charge, it would just give you more choice, and surely therefore more convenience. The OnePlus 5T will include support for dash charge but doesn't ship with wireless charging capability. "Wirelessly charging more than one device at a time further divides that number, leading to even slower charging per device". As per the claims made by the company, its dash charge is more competent in comparison to wireless charging due to its limitations. "Just plug your device in, and Dash Charge produces 20 watts of power, reliably giving a day's power in half an hour", he said. It is also expected to features 128GB of storage. All you need is the Dash Charge cable and adaptor to consistently power your device at superior rate.

Case in point, the Sign-up form requires you submit a short (300-word) review of the most impressive phone you've ever used, as well as a selection of the best smartphone photographs you've ever taken. For those that aren't local or won't be able to make it to the event, you can enjoy the show through the firm's live stream on the same day.

The Tweet, which was also re-tweeted again by OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei, said "Cost of smartphone components is rising, but phones are also getting better". So, it looks certain that the OnePlus 5T would ship with a small price bump.

Lau added that Dash Charge stays cools and power efficient regardless of what users are doing with their OnePlus smartphones. There is no freedom to play games or chat while charging, unlike the wired charging.

First off, the OnePlus 5T will have the model number A5010, emulating the naming scheme from past year when the OnePlus 3 was A3000 and the 3T was A3010 (the 5 is A5000 as you'd expect). However, I believe that Pete Lau has got this right; the technology simply isn't as useful without fast charging. He believes that this - wireless technology has a lot of space to develope now. Until then, we'll stick to Dash Charge.
